MSNBC contributor, John W. Schoen, joins the list of dunderheads who don’t get it!
June 13, 2008
To begin with, the report is erroneous in the fact at it UNDER estimates the price per gallon in the US. Here in California, at $4.89.9 a gallon, the price is fast approaching $5.00 a gallon with no end in sight! What’s MSNBC contributor, John Schoen’s, solution? Drive less! How does that bring prices DOWN? Once again, politicians and media types shifting the blame back to us… because we drive too much! How does that LOWER gas prices???
Baloney! Try walking to San Francisco from Mill Valley everyday for work, Mr. Schoen. Take public transit you say? It’s hard to get my clients to ride the bus when other people in my line of work are driving them around in a luxurious Lexus or Mercedes sedans!
Read more of his stupid suggestion as well as the video (after a brief commercial) here.

Got something to say?

I just read Schoen’s MSN column regarding Cains 9-9-9 tax plan: “38% of U.S. households pay little or no income taxes”? Really? Almost four out of every ten households in America pay little or no income taxes? Where are these people? Why, in my fifty five years of life, have I never met one of them?
How stupid does he think we are? I am deeply offended by his flippant supposition that I, and other Americans, would believe this outrageous lie! And as such, I will never pay any credence to anything Mr. Schoen might say in the future!

What they are saying is that 38% of households pay no FEDERAL income tax. That doesn’t mean they don’t pay Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, State Disability, Unemployment… you name it! Believe me, the poor are paying way more than their fair share as are all of us. It’s just not in Federal Income Tax. We are being soaked by a govenrment that has liberalism at its root. Then tax money goes out to pet projects and comes back to politicians in the form of campaign contributions. The problem is, it can’t go on. We have spent our way into a hole. Love your comment!
