Townhall chimes in with a piece on the oil market by Star Parker
June 23, 2008
Things kind of cooled down over the weekend… not with the weather, but with the price of gas as it stopped just short of $5 a gallon. We constantly monitor other websites for news stories that are related to our cause.
Townhall’s Star Parker posted an article today on how Democrats and Republicans are approaching (or not approaching) the issue and got a lot of feedback from readers who agree with her. Of course, there were the usual idiots that think Bush and Cheney are manipulating the market, but they are quickly dispatched by cool facts to offset their rabid liberal nonsense.
This morning, Rush Limbaugh started up again by pointing out that liberal policies have gotten us to where we are today. McCain wants to find a solution and Obama wants “business as usual”. Who is beholden to environmental special interests? Democrat leaders are saying US drilling more is not a solution to lowering prices, but then insist Saudia Arabia up their output. So wait, if Saudi Arabia does, then it will bring down prices, but if we do it won’t? HUH?
We spent Friday afternoon faxing our senators about wanting them to take action to start drilling now and lift restrictions on building more refineries. We need you to do the same. Go to our Take Action page and sign the FREE petitions or donate a small amount and join the fax campaign. Remember, this is the same method we used to turn back the Kennedy amnesty bill last year!
