Daily Rant – August 1, 2009

Obama is an effective speaker. Really? Has anyone really listened to his off the cuff remarks during press conferences and town hall meetings? He stumbles, tenuously ums and ahs his way through answers as he would through a mine field in a war zone.
He is nothing of the sort. The problem is not that he isn’t articulate. The problem is he has to be careful he doesn’t tell you exactly who he is. He is choosing his words so as to evade the truth of what he is trying to say. Take health care. He says the government will not take away people’s ability to have their own private health insurance. Really?
What does he think the result will be when anyone who doesn’t haveĀ a plan in place when this monstrosity takes effect MUST go on the government plan. That means insurance companies will not be able to enroll new customers. And when people fall off the private insurance should their company go out of business or drop health coverage, these people must then become members of the government program. How will private insurance companies stay in business without being able to get new customers? They won’t.
So when Obama hems and haws around the issue of taking away private choices, he is telling the truth that government won’t force that decision, in essence he is lying because there will be no other choice. If he came out and told you that this was the plan from the beginning you wouldn’t buy it… but you’re not buying it anyway.
No matter that Obama is tap dancing around questions as effectively as Fred Astaire by stuttering and stammering and elongating his ands (while he thinks of the next appropriate myth that will support his agenda) he is still a terrible public speaker when the teleprompter is gone.
Barney Frank
What an idiot. It is no secret that I hate this guy and the power he has. How he eneded up being in congress for so many years just shows how stupid the voters of Massachusettes really are. “Frankly” (pun intended) he is a disgrace as a human being. He is a bloviating pile of cow dung that should be removed from office as soon as possible. The fact that he is the face of the Democrat Party should tell anyone all they need to know about these people.
Everyday he opens his mouth he shows people just how ignorant he is about how businesses really work. We will suffer from the policies and agenda he pushes in the House. He is one of the architects of the sub prime fiasco and NOW he is pushing another scheme just like it through congress. He just threatened the financial institutions with more regulation. With a majority in the house and senate, this is likely to come to pass. This is why Republicans need to take both houses back in 2010. Not that Republicans are that much better in some cases, but Democrats need to be out of power. Unchecked power is the problem with our current government.
