If people really like a two party system because it keeps the politicians honest, then why is the left so busy trying to wipe out Republicans and conservatives? Certainly you would think with the house, senate and presidency owned by the Democrats, you would think their health care plan would sail through. Could it be that the country is really conservative at heart?
Even most Democrats don’t like government intrustion. And look at Independents. Didn’t many of them leave the Republican Party after they ran up the deficit and spent money like drunken Democrats? So if you think about it, then the country really is more conservative and liberal, regardless of party identification.
Another thought I had this morning. We are bankrupt as a country. Would it be such a bad thing if the country collapsed and had to be rebuilt without all the bureaucracy? If bankrupt companies can go through reorganization, surely the biggest corporation, the United States, can also be reorganized. It sure needs it. After listening to the founder of Trends Research this morning, they are predicting this is a lull before a bigger storm in the economy.
Do people across the country realize that with Pelosi as the speaker of the house, they are being run by a California liberal nut case? If they want to see what she would do to the country, just look at what sad shape California is in. Sure, we have a Republican (but non-conservative) governor, but mostly all of the state legislators are Democrats and the ones spending the money. I would think those people in Iowa would be howling to get Pelosi out of the leadership.
Our government is going after offshore accounts in Switzerland. Why not go after Kennedy’s billions of dollars in the Cayman Islands or the money he has in Fiji? I’ve heard his trusts have money all over the world to avoid paying taxes!
Here is a final thought. Politicians have been taxing the rich forever. If it worked, why are we over $11 trillion in debt? I mean, if taxing the rich was the panacea it is supposed to be, wouldn’t you think we’d be out of debt by now? No, because our government refuses to cut spending. Remember, it’s not what you make it’s what you keep.
