Massachusetts Upset?

January 19, 2010

I wanted to clarify my post from the daily rant because I am not sure I made my points. On the eve of the Massachusetts election, I am optimistic as I know many of you are. We are not as much hoping a Republican will win as we are a conservative will take the seat. If the Democrat were conservative and not a “sock puppet” for Obama as she has been called, I might be pulling for her.

I want what’s best for America. That was my point when I talked about how the two parties used to have the best interests of the United States at heart though they disagreed on the way to do that. Our salvation is not in Republicans or Democrats, but in “we the people” and voting for conservatives no matter which party they are in. Right now that seems to be the Republican Party. Bottom line is the Democrat Party no longer represents the best interests of the United States.

To drive the point home, I have nothing to gain monetarily from a Scott Brown win, unlike T. Boone Pickens who is pushing natural gas after his wind scheme fell flat. What we all stand to gain is tremendous… a chance at the rebirth of FREEDOM… regardless of what you drive!

My point about Obama alienating just about everyone was right on the mark. Remember in high school when volleyball teams were being chosen and at the end and only one guy was left? That was usually me, by the way. Anyway, that seems to be what is happening with the Obama administration in reverse. As I tried to point out yesterday, Obama started out with the country behind him and, one by one, he and a few others are the ones standing alone. He and his administration has singled out just about everyone in one sector or another so that almost everyone has been targeted for one reason or another. Saul Alinsky at his best. Pit everyone against everyone else. Examples are companies who have corporate retreats in Las Vegas, companies who use private jets, companies who give bonuses and high salaries, people who want control of their own health care, anyone who has anything to do with the petroleum industry, the coal industry, the financial industry, wall street, the CIA; the list goes on. How can a President bring everyone together when he is constantly pitting once citizen or group of citizens against each other? Obama is looking awfully lonely as he lines up against the rest of the US.

As I write this, 60% of the vote is in and Brown is ahead by 7 points, almost 100,000 votes. It hopefully signals that once again the underdog has won the day because the American Spirit is alive and growing across the country. Massachusetts has a long history of patriotism and the birthplace of our nation. If Democrats are not shaking in their boots (and they appear to be too arrogant to be afraid) I am not sure what it will take. Losing an almost guaranteed Senate seat in a “blue” state should have some effect. But I just saw liberal Alan Combs on O’Reilly, and he said it says nothing about the Obama agenda. Did I say arrogant? Is Barney Frank getting nervous? Doubtful. More arrogance.

President Andrew Johnson was nearly removed from office except for one Republican vote in the Senate. Perhaps one Republican vote from Scott Brown will change the course of health care reform (Obamacare) or at least make Democrats start listening to the electorate and stop this travesty.

Nancy Pelosi is adamant health care will pass. Her arrogance is legion after lying about being unaware of enhanced interrogation methods and getting away with it. Now she is stubbornly promising a health care plan will be finalized… all in the dead of night and out of sight of the public. This will not fly with the American people. Democrats could well reevaluate the path she has taken them down, realize how much she has hurt their party and kick her out of the leadership. Stenny Hoyer could very well end up running the House before summer. It is becoming apparent that Ms. Nancy has outlived her “historic” symbolism in being the first woman Speaker of the House while running the Democrat Party into the ground.
