President Obama Speaks Up About Health Care

Here is a letter I received today in an e-mail from Barack Obama. For a country that is already almost $2 trillion dollars in debt with this latest budget and stimulus and over $11 trillion in national debt, he is going to take on a huge part of our private sector and spend money we don’t have! Here is the letter.
You are receiving this email because you signed up at WhiteHouse.gov. My staff and I plan to use these messages as a way to directly communicate about important issues and opportunities, and today I have some encouraging updates about health care reform.
The Vice President and I just met with leaders from the House of Representatives and received their commitment to pass a comprehensive health care reform bill by July 31.
We also have an unprecedented commitment from health care industry leaders, many of whom opposed health reform in the past. Monday, I met with some of these health care stakeholders, and they pledged to do their part to reduce the health care spending growth rate, saving more than two trillion dollars over the next ten years — around $2,500 for each American family. Then on Tuesday, leaders from some of America’s top companies came to the White House to showcase innovative ways to reduce health care costs by improving the health of their workers.
Now the House and Senate are beginning a critical debate that will determine the health of our nation’s economy and its families. This process should be transparent and inclusive and its product must drive down costs, assure quality and affordable health care for everyone, and guarantee all of us a choice of doctors and plans.

Health care reform can’t come soon enough. We spend more on health care than any country, but families continue to struggle with skyrocketing premiums and nearly 46 million are without insurance entirely. It is a priority for the American people and a pillar of the new foundation we are seeking to build for our economy.

New Obama Tax Increase Plan

Well Obama you have a lot of splainin’ to do! Chrysler is in bankruptcy court, GM isn’t far behind due to Obama’s incompetence and his incompetent administration that is set to announce a New Obama Tax Increase Plan.
The “Phony Stimulus” scheme’s $700 Billion is gone, there is no end in site and Obama has failed to help anyone. Now Obama “Slick Willy II” in true Clintonesque Style says it’s our fault and wants you and I to pay for it.
Chrysler filed for protection April 30 after the U.S. was unable to persuade secured lenders to swap $6.9 billion in claims for $2.25 billion in cash. A union retiree health-care trust was offered a 55 percent stake in Chrysler.
“This confirms the fear, which right along has been that the Obama administration is more sensitive or beholden to the unions than the bondholders,” Fridson CEO of Fridson Investment Advisors said. “It makes it clear that GM bondholders aren’t likely to be able to work out anything outside of bankruptcy.”
Obama has said the government doesn’t want to run a car company, so why not take the bondholders’ deal, which gets them out of ownership.
What Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas said in 2008 is true today.
“They can basically do whatever they want to with the money.”
In the whirlwind of the pre-election knee jerk economic reaction the Obama Bailout Plan has become a $700 Billion Crime, the biggest white collar crime in history. Obama said the top priority is fixing the economy but instead is pushing the same old liberal agenda.

Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas who helped lead a revolt against GOP leaders to sink the $700 billion Obama Bailout Plan said “I could say I told you so. It was so open-ended and we put so little accountability into it, they can basically do whatever they want to with the money.” The truth is, the American people have been duped and this is nothing more than a way to handout money to choice friends of corrupt politicians.
We saw the Obama Bailout changed by Nancy Pelosi to hand out money to GM and Chrysler. Billions that weren’t in the original Obama Bailout Plan.
Now what the American public feared has sadly happened. The government handed out money to anybody that wanted it. $700 billion gone with no accountability just closed automotive manufacturing plants.

Liberals Never Sleep!

Here is another example of liberals run amok. In California, real estate sales are starting to come back, so what do Democrats want to do? Kill sales by forcing people who buy a home to retrofit them with low flow showers, toilets and faucets. Let’s friggin’ save the world and kill the real estate industry.
These environmental do-gooders make me crazy. It’s great if they want to put low flow toilets in their houses that you have to flush three times and thus use more water than you would with one regular flush, but why do we all have to be penalized? This is something to oppose. Take action by going to the site and following the instructions. Read the CAR recommentation here.

They Fast-tracked Socialized Healthcare; We’re Naming Names

Late yesterday afternoon, the Senate passed the Obama budget with massive tax increases, a doubling of the national debt and fast-track provisions for socialized healthcare.
The vote was 53-43, which means we fell just four votes short of stopping it.
Yesterday, we identified the 12 key Democrats who had voiced opposition to fast-tracking. Several specifically signed a letter opposing use of this procedural trickery to pass the carbon tax and “Roll Call” magazine said many of these also opposed fast-tracking for healthcare.
In all, 9 of the 12 we identified voted in favor of fast-tracking socialized healthcare…

The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and Border Security is holding hearings this Thursday to build support for amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY), who chairs the Subcommittee, has entitled it, “Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2009, Can We Do It and How?”

Outrage over Arlen Specter

hope Arlen Specter’s party change outrages you. It should for two reasons:
First–Specter claimed it was philosophical–and pointed his finger of blame at Republicans all over America for his defection to the Democrats. He told us all to go jump in the lake today.
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe a word he said.
Arlen Specter committed a purely political and self-serving act today. He simply believes he has a better chance of saving his political hide and his job as a Democrat. He loves the title of Senator more than he loves the party–and the principles–that elected him and nurtured him.
Second–and more importantly–Arlen Specter handed Barack Obama and his band of radical leftists nearly absolute power in the United States Senate. In leaving the Republican Party–and joining the Democrats–he absolutely undercut Republicans’ efforts to slow down Obama’s radical agenda through the threat of filibuster.
Facing defeat in Pennsylvania’s 2010 Republican primary due to his left-wing voting record, and an end to his 30 year career in the U.S. Senate, he has peddled his services–and his vote–to the leftist Obama Democrats who aim to remake America with their leftist plan.
As recently as April 9th, Senator Specter said he would run in the Pennsylvania primary next year as a Republican. Why the sudden change of heart? Clearly, this was an act based on political expediency by a craven politician desperate to keep his Washington power base–not the act of a statesman.
His defection to the Democrat Party puts the Democrats in an almost unstoppable position to pass Obama’s destructive agenda of income redistribution, health care nationalization, and a massive expansion of entitlements.
Arlen Specter has put his loyalty to his own political career above his duty to his state and nation.
You and I have a choice. Some will use Specter’s defection as an excuse to fold the tent and give up. I believe that you are not one of those people. When Benedict Arnold defected to the British, George Washington didn’t fold the tent and give up either.
He grit his teeth more determined than ever to succeed. That’s what I’m asking you to do today.
