Liberal Lexicon Part 1

February 11, 2010

I have put together a list of “liberal” phrases and words that have been annoying me because they are based in propaganda. Many of them are environmental catch words. Now they have seeped through into our advertising which enforces the notion that we can save our planet if we buy their product. But the only “green” they are targeting is the same green which attracts capitalists. If a liberal thinks we can change the climate, the next time there is a hurricane, tornado, flood or earthquake I challenge them to go out and stop them.

  • Global Climate Change – Because global warming is being disputed and all the manipulations have been exposed, the liberals, in order to keep the public upset and thus keep their political agenda on track, have made a concerted effort to call it “climate change” because of all the snow storms and colder temperatures we are experiencing. People are realizing the planet is not warming after all. However, Climate Change activists are saying these cold temperatures mean nothing and we’re stupid for believing it does. So how come warm temperatures last summer meant global warming but this year abnormally strong snow storms and colder temperatures doesn’t mean global cooling? Another example of liberal hypocrisy.
  • Green Technology – This one annoys me because all the advertisers are picking up on the catch phrase. First of all, there is nothing we use for energy that doesn’t first come from the planet earth. What makes it green? Because it uses the sun? What about those horribly toxic batteries needed to make the Prius work? And it’s not like we are importing materials from outer space or other planets. By listening to the “Orange Oil” ad for termites you would think that everything that comes from a plant is green and healthy. What about hemlock which comes from a plant? What about arsenic which comes from old Mother Earth’s crust? By the way, if you listen to KSFO there is a solar company advertising that would have you think your electric meter would run backward if you used their product. WRONG! We have solar panels. They are hooked up to the PG and E grid. Our meter is ALWAYS running forward. It is the amount of electricity we send back to the grid and how much we use during peak versus off peak hours that makes the difference in what we pay for power. Truth? We are not saving much, if anything, by having solar. Another SCAM! But it’s the good intentions that counts, right?
  • Renewable Energy – If you have solar panels it is considered renewable. However, the sunshine that generated your energy yesterday does not go up and come back around to be used again the next day. It is different sunlight. Of course, in a real sense, everything is recycled over time. For example, the water we drink today is the same water that drowned the chariots in the bible time. It just keeps getting recycled. But then this is also true of petroleum and other fossil fuels. It just takes longer for them to “renew”. However, you won’t hear this kind of talk from environmental activists. This is just another “feel good” term for liberals and an annoying catch phrase for people like me.
  • Bi-partisan – When conservatives and Republicans move to the “center” to agree with liberals. What is it called when Democrats move to the center and agree with conservatives and Republicans? Answer: fantasy.

This is by no means a comprehensive list. It is just the first entry in my Liberal Lexicon. If anyone has suggestions for words they would like to see on the list, please e-mail editor@fedupnetwork.com and I will add them to a later post.

Thought For Today!

September 17, 2009

Let me get this straight —

Obama’s health care plan will be written by a committee whose head says he doesn’t understand it,
passed by a Congress that hasn’t read it and whose members will be exempt from it,
signed by a president who smokes,
funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes,
overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,
and financed by a country that is broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

Daily Rant – Part 2, August 19, 2009

August 19, 2009

I have been rethinking the Obama health plan and am wondering if maybe I was too hasty in opposing it. In fact, to make it even more feasible, we need to add one more piece to the puzzle.

I think we should make the DMV part of the Federal government and forget about letting the states run them. This would do a couple of things:

  • Make driving laws universal from state to state – thus, no more picking on out of state drivers as bad
  • Enable a smooth transition of melding the records of the DMV, the IRS and the new health plan

Here’s why. Think of the time you will save. You go in for a colonoscopy and you can get your driver’s license renewed, register your car, have a tax audit and buy stamps at the same time… even from the same guy! I love this idea.

Can you picture the scene? Here you are on a gurney about to be put under for the procedure and they snap your picture, fingerprint you (and take any other samples they need at the same time for your file) and then sell you a roll of stamps while taking the money directly from your bank account. Beautiful. I may have been wrong about this government run health care thing.

Medical school will have to be extended though. It will necessarily include courses on tax law and motor vehicle codes. An enterprising doctor may even choose to include smog stations so they can run a tube up your car’s exhaust while he runs a tube up yours.

Remember, folks, the Democrats will not always be running the government. What they think is a good idea now, could fast become a nightmare when the “enemy” party starts running things. Of course, I’m sure liberals think the bureaucracy will always be so big that there is always be friendlies in high positions. But they didn’t trust Bush’s departments even though they were filled with the opposite party because he refused to play partisan politics… to his disadvantage.

Let’s help keep government smaller than it would be if they take over a huge chunk of the private sector. People did not like the TARP bailout or the auto bailout. They are really against this health care take over. Democrats beware. There is an election coming up in 2010! Of course, you could always get a job with the Post Office!

Health Care or Freedom Grab?

July 15, 2009

From Glenn Beck - Sure, the government will tell us they need to push this health care plan right on through because it’s what we need. We can’t have little kids without armpits running around uninsured now, can we? Poor little Sally Muckenfuch has no eyelids AND no insurance. It’s horrifying. So quick! Pass this 1,000 page legislation before anyone can think about it! In the off chance you do want to think about it and find out what this plan really means — and what it’s really about — see Glenn’s review of the plan. ( Transcript, Insider Audio

Government and YOU: If you’re worried about how complicated a government run healthcare system will be — don’t worry, this handy flow chart should help.
How many jobs will Obamacare ‘not hire or fire’ in your company?
President Obama likes to say that he is ‘creating or saving’ jobs. Will this new government healthcare proposal, and the taxes that come along with it, make it difficult to create jobs? Glenn’s company, if hit with the tax, would lose out on being able to hire about 5-10 additional employees. Glenn wants to know — if you are a small business owner, or work for a small business and can ask the owner — how many job positions will your company ‘not hire or fire’? EMAIL US
