Scozzafava Bipartisan?
November 2, 2009
Not really. Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava of New York’s district 23 showed her true colors when she dropped out of the race and backed Democrat, Bill Owens. Say what?
This is not bi-partisan. This is a liberal RINO who has been shamed into dropping out by Conservative candidate, Doug Hoffman, the real Republican in this race. Once again, we are not supporting ANY Republican; we are not party hacks. What we want are true conservatives. Hoffman is one!
Liberals have taken over the Democrat Party… socialists, actually. Groups like Moveon.org, funded by George Soros, have essentially bought the Democrat Party so there is no party with true US values other than some of the grassroots Republicans.

Scozzafava Drops Out – Some of the Votes go to Hoffman!

Campaign Alert – 32 days until Election Day! Donate Now
Our Republican opponent, Dede Scozzafava, today suspended her campaign and told her supporters they are free to support anyone they would like. We would like to acknowledge the class and dignity with which Mrs. Scozzafava conducted her campaign and thank her for her continued service to our great state. She deserves our respect and appreciation.
And now the race for the 23rd congressional district truly becomes a two way race between a Nancy Pelosi democrat and a principled Conservative Republican. We cannot take victory for granted under any circumstance. Pelosi and comrades are poised to spend a fortune to win this seat. They are even airlifting in Joe Biden on Monday. We must continue to fight as if life as we know it depends on it, because it does!

Daily Rant – October 28, 2009
October 28, 2009
Remember the old good news, bad news jokes? The government thinks we are stupid. Look at all the inconsistencies in the way they have approached problems and you will see they have no intention of solving any of our problems. Here are some examples.
Good News: We are going to have a national health care program that will be FREE to everyone! Everyone will be covered regardless of pre-existing conditions, and it will be efficient.
Bad News: We can’t get enough H1N1 Flu vaccine which is such a small portion of what they are promising to do for us!
Good News: There are news reports that people are actually very happy about being unemployed. With the numbers up around 10%, there are numerous stories in the press about how this is actually good for the US because people are spending time with their families and planting their own food, eating healthier, etc.
Bad News: Remember when Bush was in office and slightly over 5% was TERRIBLE? No, there is no media bias.
Good News: Obama was touting the new smart electric meters which will do things like force thermostats to be set to conserve electricity or run dishwashers in the middle of the night while people are sleeping.
Bad News: Why are they pushing everyone into electric cars if there is going to be an electricity shortage?
Good News: Government does not want to do anything about illegal immigration even though we need tax revenue.
Bad News: If we gave the work to documented workers and legal US citizens, we could collect taxes from them and lower unemployment at the same time.
Good News: There is going to be an opt out in the public health care plan.
Bad News: Oh, you can opt out of receiving benefits, but you can not opt out of the taxation of the program!
Good News: Our current government is going to draw down troops in Iraq so they can fight a legitimate war in Afghanistan.
Bad News: Not so fast, Obama. Don’t rush into anything.
Bottom line? This administration is incompetent! Let’s make sure there is a turnover in the next election starting with the special elections in November!

Palin Backs 3rd-Party Candidate in N.Y. House Race
October 25, 2009
This is a follow up to the story about Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman, who should be the GOP choice for the candidate. Instead they chose a liberal by the name of Dierdre Scozzafava to run for the 23rd district seat. Palin backs Hoffman! If Republicans want to win again, I suggest they listen to her!
============================
Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has endorsed a third-party candidate over the GOP-backed contender in New York’s congressional special election, saying her own party has abandoned its core values.
The former Alaska governor, who was Arizona Sen. John McCain’s running-mate last year, said Thursday she was backing Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over Republican Assemblywoman Dierdre Scozzafava in the 23rd Congressional District race.
Palin said Hoffman, a businessman, stands for Republican principles – smaller government, lower taxes and a commitment to individual liberty – and that Scozzafava is more aligned with Democrats.
The offseason race to replace former Rep. John McHugh, whom President Barack Obama named as his Army secretary, has drawn national attention to a growing splinter between Republican moderates and conservatives who say they want the party to return its core values.

Daily Rant – October 18, 2009

The next time any Democrat says that we need to tax the rich think about this. Obama leaves New Orleans to show up in San Francisco for a $35,000 a couple fund raiser. Do you know any poor people who can afford to go to one of these? And if these are rich people why would they support Obama when they know he is going to tax the hell out of them? He isn’t and they wouldn’t.
Good news: Chris Simcox of Minuteman fame is running against John McCain for the Senate in Arizona! This is wonderful news. For a long time I wondered why a conservative state like Arizona would elect such a limp-spined representative like McCain. Here’s our chance to start changing the Republican Party from the blue-blood liberal eastern elites to one represented by the common folk. There are other races, and I will comment later this week.

Republicans Are Really In Trouble Now
October 18, 2009
If this poll is true, conservatives are in real trouble in 2012. Although it is a long time away, if Huckabee leads the race, Republicans are still not getting the message.
Newsmax: Twenty-nine percent of Republican voters nationwide say former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is their pick to represent the GOP in the 2012 presidential campaign. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 24 percent prefer former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney while 18 percent would cast their vote for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gets 14 percent of the vote while Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty gets 4 percent. Six percent of GOP voters prefer some other candidate while 7 percent remain undecided.
These numbers reflect an improvement for Huckabee since July when the three candidates were virtually even. Huckabee’s gain appears to be Palin’s loss as Romney’s support has barely changed.
The numbers for Huckabee and Romney look even stronger when GOP voters were asked which candidate they would least like to see get the nomination. Pawlenty came on top in that category with 28 percent. Palin was second at 21 percent while 20 percent named Gingrich. Romney and Huckabee were in the single digits with 9 percent and 8 percent, respectively.
Huckabee and Romney are viewed favorably by 78 percent of Republican voters, Palin by 75 percent. Gingrich earns favorably reviews from 69 percent while Pawlenty is less well known and gets a positive assessment from 45 percent of Republicans.
Republican voters are very confident their nominee could be the next president of the United States. Eighty-one percent of the GOP faithful say that it’s at least somewhat likely the Republican nominee will defeat Barack Obama in 2012. Fifty percent say it’s very vikely.
Romney leads all prospects among voters who attend church once a month or less. Huckabee leads among more frequent churchgoers. Huckabee holds a huge lead among Evangelical Christians with Palin in second and Romney a distant third. Huckabee and Romney are essentially even among other Protestants while Romney has the edge among Catholics.
Romney leads among Republicans earning more than $75,000 a year while Huckabee leads among those who earn less.

Letter to AARP
October 15, 2009
Verified as true to the Executive Director of AARP:
Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it’s abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours.
Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace.
We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy.
The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!
We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces whom we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.
This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage, but even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic.
I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our ‘house’, invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.
I DON’T choose to welcome them.
I DON’T choose to support them.
I DON’T choose to educate them.
I DON’T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.
American home invaders get arrested. Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?
We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven.
We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you..
I am disappointed.
I am scared.
I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!
