Daily Rant – March 1, 2009
March 1, 2009
It’s anecdotal at best, but I am hearing from friends who have Democrats as friends who voted for Obama and are surprised and dismayed at how quickly he is moving his left wing agenda forward. Scared too. To give him the benefit of the doubt, I think he might be getting played which will only hurt HIS attempt to get re-elected. By letting people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid run the show, what did they think would happen with majorities of liberals in the house and senate? They have been telling us what they want to do. Now we are going to pay the price.
One hope is that Harry Reid’s seat is up for election in 2010. You know ACORN will be registering voters, dead or alive, so we will need a fair counter operation to balance it out in Nevada. How about COFFEE? Coalition Of Friends for Fair Elections EVerywhere? Surely people wouldn’t be against that? You know they would. That is how Democrat politics has been played to get idiot, Al Franken, elected in Minnesota in spite of the fact that there are more ballots than voters in some of those precincts! I am all for organizing such a conservative committee, not to be sure that Republicans win, but that elections are fair.
Our local chapter of the Republican Central Committee in Marin, California is getting active. People are tired of “moderates” running things just so we can all get along and get more people into our big tent… a tent that collapses and loses with so many issues that nobody agrees on anything. We are talking about opening up this site for discussions and would like you to participate. Our topics range from local to state to federal. Unfortunately they all affect us whether we want them to or not! We haven’t gotten soverignty yet!
Our first issue is the California State Budget that got passed with the help of 6 RINO Republicans who helped get it passed. We have made a statement urging the RNC to censure them and withhold funds for the next election. Strangely enough, the local leadership chose to vote against the censure… afraid to push people out.
Well, hasn’t that been our problem? We are humans and will never agree 100% on anything. They didn’t agree when they formed our country, but had enough in common to for a more perfect union than the tyranny they were living under with King George. So to cave on principles is silly. But we as a party have been doing it for quite some time. Senators Snowe, Graham, Specter, Collins and even McCain take note. We are going to clean house and you have bulls-eye’s on your backs. Not literally, but at election time we will urge the party to not support you unless you take the Republican pledge and stick to its principles.
